Before I became President, I didn’t realize just how much one person can influence the success and strength of a Rotary Club — quietly, consistently, and without ever seeking recognition. This Rotarian is one of those members who keeps our club informed, organized, and on track — often doing the work that many never see but everyone benefits from.
At first, I didn’t know much about this Rotarian. But as I stepped into this leadership role, I quickly learned that he is one of the true cornerstones of our club’s success. He has a wealth of Rotary knowledge — truly, a living Rotary encyclopedia. He knows our bylaws, our history, our structure, and our traditions inside and out. And boy, oh boy, can he send the emails! Every message is precise, detailed, and timely — keeping us all connected, informed, and in the know.
But beyond the emails and details, what makes this Rotarian exceptional is his heart for service and his unwavering dependability. He’s the kind of person you can always count on — whether it’s drafting SOPs, organizing documentation, preparing reports, or offering guidance when needed. He always shows up when he can, and he always has a thoughtful word of advice or encouragement to share.
Our club runs as efficiently as it does because of people like him — people who don’t seek the spotlight but deserve it more than anyone. He is one of those true doers in Rotary — the kind of member who quietly carries the weight of many and lifts others along the way. It’s safe to say that much of our club’s success is thanks to his dedication, his intellect, and his love for Rotary. He may not need this recognition, but I want him to know how proud I am to serve alongside him. He truly embodies the spirit of Service Above Self and is a remarkable Rotarian leader.
So, with deep appreciation and admiration, I am honored to name our October Rotarian of the Month…Jim Negri!
