Taste of Castro Valley Volunteer Job Descriptions
Coordinators
- These positions are assigned by the Event Coordinators.
Set Up
- Assist with setting up booths and signage.
Volunteer Check In
- Assist in directing volunteers to their assignments.
Take Down
- Assist with removing booths and signage, and general cleanup.
Ticket Sales
- Assist with selling tickets, which requires a smart phone to run the ticket software. You will be trained on the software program with training sessions the day of the event or possibly prior to the event.
- NOTE: If tickets sell out prior to the event, these positions will be assigned to Ticket Redemption.
Ticket Redemption
- Assist with checking in participants by scanning tickets, which requires a smart phone to run the ticket software. You will be trained on the software program with training sessions the day of the event or possibly prior to the event.
- Assist in handing out lanyards and event information/materials.
ID Check
- Verify participants IDs to purchase alcohol and put on the ID wristband.
Ambassador
- Supervise Interact students serving as Ambassadors handling the check-in process, provide breaks, and coordinate 3-4 restaurant locations.
- Have a basic level of smart phone knowledge (i.e., scanning a QR code). Training will be provided the day of the event and possibly prior to the event.
Alcohol Tasting Locations
- Verify that participants has an ID wristband.
