On November 4, the Rotary Club of Castro Valley proudly inducted three outstanding community leaders whose service and professional expertise will strengthen the Club’s work locally and beyond: Judge Meera T. Parikh, Paulette Johnson, and Dr. Gary Wolff.  “Each of these new members embodies Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self,” said Misti Short, President of the Rotary Club of Castro Valley. “Judge Parikh’s commitment to youth, Paulette’s hands-on advocacy for families and seniors, and Dr. Wolff’s deep experience in environmental stewardship and public service will be a powerful addition to our club

Judge Meera T. Parikh — Alameda County Superior Court

Recently appointed by the Governor to the Alameda County Superior Court, Judge Parikh has practiced law for nearly two decades in Castro Valley. She will serve on the Club’s Youth Programs team, helping coordinate Student of the Month recognitions and assisting with the Rotary Speech Contest. Judge Parikh is passionate about helping young people feel seen, heard, and supported.

Paulette Johnson — Realtor & Community Volunteer

A local realtor and longtime volunteer, Paulette has served on the Hayward Little League Board, participated actively in her Homeowners Association, and volunteered as a track certifier with the Porsche Club. She is widely known for stepping up to support seniors and families in need and looks forward to bringing that same caring leadership to Rotary projects.

Dr. Gary Wolff — Retired Civil Engineer & Sustainability Leader

Gary Wolff, Ph.D., is a licensed civil engineer with a doctorate in Resource Economics and a certificate in Administrative Law. He previously served as Executive Director of StopWaste (Alameda County Waste Management Authority) and has sat on the State Water Resources Control Board, Regional Water Quality Control Board, and the Alameda County Recycling Board. A Castro Valley resident since 2003, he brings extensive leadership in environmental policy, water, and recycling.

“These members represent the best of Castro Valley—integrity, expertise, and a heart for service,” added Short. “We’re excited to get to work together on youth programs, environmental initiatives, and hands-on projects that lift our community.”
