As part of the Club's ongoing effort to better know the members, Lance Brede shared his background from Hayward native who attended Castro Valley High School as a freshman through his present position as a Captain with the East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) Police Department.  In the short time that Lance has been in the Club, he has contributed greatly.

Lance shared that his parents enstilled a strong work ethic at a young age and that in high school he worked at Tri Ced Recyling, Petrini's Market and Furniture Warehouse.  Lance attended Chabot College and California State University, East Bay, but before graduating, he began working for the East Bay Regional Park District.  Eventually, he returned to school online and earned both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Columbia Southern University in Alabama. 
 
Lance started with the EBRPD Police Department in December 1993 as a Police Services and rose to rank of Captain in March 2017 with many interesting positions along the way.  Lance and his wife, Tracey, were married in 2004 and have two active sons.  They live in Castro Valley.
