At the meeting, the Club heard from
- Craig Semmelmeyer, the developer of the Castro Valley Marketplace regarding its development and future plans for the site as well as plans for future developments that Craig has in progress along Castro Valley Boulevard; and
- Stacey and Simon Tingstrom, owner of the Cordial Cellar + Lounge in the basement of the Castro Valley Marketplace.
Members and guests were reminded of
- The UN International Day of Peace at Lake Chabot Regional Park on September 18 at 10:00 am-1:00 pm;
- The Castro Valley Restaurant Walk on September 21at 6:00-8:00 pm; and,
- The Club BBQ on September 28 at 5:00-8:00 pm.
The speaker on September 21 will be Rona Popal, Executive Director of the Afghan Coalition in Fremont and Project Director for the Afghan Health Partnership Program. Registration deadline is 9:00 pm on September 19.
