Mr. King presented his personal Rotary pin (and one of his Bride’s) to our President, Hafsa Burt, and to one of the “All Time Great” local Rotarians, Bonnie Best!

Always passionate and entertaining, his program began with a serenade of “Oh, What a Wonderful Morning Like This!” and then told stories ab out his travels throughout the world on behalf of Rotary.  He also shared the most engaging history of Rotary, starting with that February 1905 day in Chicago with four men committed to making a difference in the world.

John Adams said that there are only two types of people: those who make commitments and those to keep commitments . . . Richard stated that Rotarians are the latter . . .

Mr. King finished his presentation with the story of Eagles . . . who live 70 years provided at the age of 40 the eagle is willing to be revitalized . . . very inspirational . . . tremendous!
