Rotary Castro ValleyPROGRAM - Today’s program was presented by Matthew Kaser, PhD from Oxford. He is a Castro Valley resident, a molecular biologist. His topic was "How Networks Form and Stabilize or A New Way of Looking at the Universe. He based his content on the book "Linked" by Albert-Laszlo Barabasi, published in 2002, 2014. Matthew told us that the professional network LinkedIn was created shortly after the book was first published. Matthew showed many diagrams, and explained how different types of networks form. He quoted the author of "Linked" who basically concluded that "nothing happens in isolation."

Michael gave President Heidi a pin and she gave him one of our club's 4-way test pins in exchange. Michael managed the building of the Veterans Memorial in Castro Valley. He has worked on other memorials.

JEFF MOORE - ALAMEDA COUNTY PLANNING UPDATE - Proposed modifications of the general plan, addition of regulations related to Health & Wellness in the county, were continued for further study since the planning commission was not ready to vote on this issue.

LOOKING FOR THE MOLAR WITH THE GOLD GLITTER FILLING DONE “JUST FOR US” BY DR. HEIDI, and with $72 and 13 teeth in the bag, Walt Schneider‘s ticket was drawn and he reached in and . . . pulled a "Ray Wallace" and paid $5 for pulling a tooth with a cavity!
