March 9:
Preparing for Your Next Breakthrough - Jeff Teseri
In a highly interactive and engaging presentation, Jeff Teseri shared three of the seven key abilities that one needs to achieve his/her next breakthrough. Before describing those abilities, Jeff posed three rhetorical questions:
  • Have you ever felt down on your luck?
  • Have you ever felt stuck?
  • Have you ever wanted to yell, “Forget this!”
March 9: 
End Polio Now Campaign - Dwight Perry
Dwight Perry, The Rotary Foundation (TRF) Chair for the Club, shared the work that Rotary International is doing to eradicae polio in the world.  Then, Dwight explained the annual campaign to fund Rotary's efforts noting that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation still is matching donations at the 2-for-1 rate. March 16:
Educational Options at Castro Valley High School
In his opening comments, CVHS Principal Blaine Torpey praised the inspiring CVHS teachers for responding to the pandemic and designing ways to support student learning.   The presentation focused on just three of CVHS’s many outstanding academic programs:
(1) Engineering Pathway (teachers Jessica Porter & Lisa Holmes);  (2) Honors Afrocentric U.S. History and Literature (teacher Kevin Batchelor); and (3) The Library program (Teacher Librarian Angela Anthony).
 
March 16:
Responding to the Covid-19 Pandemic
Curtis Pochardt, Board President Rapid City Area Schools (SD)
Gary Bosley introduce this segment of the meeting by noting that March 17th is the one-year anniversary of the Covid-19 lockdown.  Gary noted that the national media has focused on three states (Florida, Texas & South Dakota) and how they have reacted to the pandemic.  Gary invited Curtis Porchardt, President of the Rapid City Area Schools Board of Education in South Dakota, to describe how his district has responded to the pandemic. 
March 23
Overview of Sofware Licensing
Ed Molyneaux, Senior Legal Counsel for Adobe, Inc.
Ed Molyneaux, who serves as Senior Legal Counsel for Adobe, Inc. in San Jose specializes in software licensing.   He started the presentation answering “What is a license?” with the following definiation "A license is an agreement which someone who has a right to stop you from doing something agrees not to stop you from doing it, subject to certain conditions.”  Ed then explained in detail what goes into a software license and agreement.
