My Experience on the Bench

Judge Leo Dorado, a native of Oakland's Fruitvale district, spent a year with a San Francisco law firm before becoming a prosecutor. He worked for the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office for three years and as an Alameda County prosecutor for six years before being appointed to the bench by then-Gov. George Deukmejian in 1988. He earned a BA in economics from UC Berkeley and a JD from Boalt Hall.
