Incoming CV Rotary President Misti Short Shares Her Vision and Goals
Jul 08, 2025 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

At Every Sunrise is a New Day To Serve

Our Incoming President, Misti Short, Shares Her Vision & Goals

Wiggle Rumps: Pet Supply and Grooming

Welcome, fellow Rotarians, to this special luncheon meeting!

We will gather for the first official meeting under the leadership of our new Castro Valley Rotary Club President, Misti Short. As the owner of Wiggle Rumps, the beloved pet supply and grooming store in our community, Misti brings her entrepreneurial spirit and passion for service to her new role as our Rotary President.

During the program, Misti will share her vision and goals for the upcoming Rotary year. She'll be focusing on strategies to strengthen member engagement, encourage greater participation among all members, and continue our club's tradition of making a meaningful impact in our community.

This luncheon also provides an opportunity for us to get to know Misti on a more personal level. She'll be sharing insights about her background, family, and the journey that has led her to this leadership position. Her path to the presidency has been shaped by both personal and professional experiences that have prepared her for guiding our club forward.

Misti is a proud resident of Castro Valley, and her connection to our local community runs deep. Her dedication to service above self exemplifies the Rotary spirit, and we're fortunate to have her leadership as we embark on this new Rotary year together.

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to our new President, Misti Short!

Harbor House is a nonprofit, Christian community development organization in Oakland that primarily serves immigrants, refugees, and low-income families of color through education, leadership development, spiritual formation, and food & clothing access. Our mission is to provide a safe space for families to share opportunities, resources, and relationships, enabling all families to flourish.

Danny Fitelson serves as the Director of Community Partnerships at Harbor House. In that capacity, he directs our Tutor the Tigers program at Franklin Elementary School and connects with schools, churches, and community-based organizations to identify volunteer tutors for our youth. Before coming to Harbor House, Danny served as a pastor for 20 years. He loves to work with teens and young adults to put on programs that help kids feel valued. In his spare time, he enjoys hanging out with his wife and two daughters, watch movies that have something to say, and coach volleyball.
