Current President of the Castro Valley Eden Area Chamber of Commerce, Michael Tacconi, and Business Development & Marketing Director, Caryl Mahar, will present information about the Chamber of Commerce. 

As the Chamber prepares to celebrate their 80th birthday in 2017, learn about the mission of the Chamber, membership information, upcoming events and activities, and most importantly, how you can get involved.  


Mike is the Area Sales Manager at Bay Equity Homes on Redwood Road and has been licensed by the California Department of Real Estate since 1995.  As your local lender, he brings the knowledge and tenacity on each transaction to ensure that each of his clients are handled with the most Professional Conduct and Integrity.

He’s currently the President of the Castro Valley/Eden Area Chamber of Commerce.  He is very active with the local community and can be found at the Food Trucks on Tuesday evenings or the month chamber mixers. Michael also is on the Board of Directors for the Hayward Area Recreation & Park District Foundation. He is the Golf Tournament Chair. 

You can also find him at the Central County Marketing Group for Bay East Association of Realtors.  This group meets every Wednesday at 8:30am to discuss new listing and the housing market for the local area.

Michael is the Past President of the California Association of Mortgage Brokers (CAMB), East Bay Chapter.

He is also a member of the Women's Council of Realtor (WCR), Contra Costa Chapter and the past Affiliate of the Year.

Caryl is a native New Yorker who transplanted to Castro Valley 15 years ago.  She began her work with the Castro Valley Eden Area Chamber of Commerce in 2015 as the Membership Director and currently holds the title of Business Development & Marketing Director. 

Caryl and her husband, Brian, have been married for 9 years.  They are the parents of two amazing girls: Charlotte (8) and Emmeline (4).  In addition to her work at the Chamber of Commerce, Caryl also sits on the Board of Directors for the Castro Valley Parent Nursery School.
