PAYING IT FORWARD -
$xx    Mathilde Schmidt - one-year anniversary of her precious son’s (Marty Schmidt) presentation to our Club
PROGRAM - Our program today was       Laura Calvert, Assistant Director, Spectrum Community
Services.   - Its work in the community.  Tremendous presentation with some pretty scarey facts, like 77.3 Million were born between 1946-64 in the US . . . 10,000 each day go onto Social Security . . . there were 40 Million on Social Security in 2010, and 88.5 Million are projected for 2050!
The three key risks for seniors are Isolation, Poor Nutrition, and Falls. Laura shared various programs that are available to address all three of the risks.  Funding for these programs come from the Older Americans Act (federal), Client Donations, and Cities/Foundations/Corporations and People “like us.”
